Remembering Who We Are Not…

Sometimes, it is easier to explain who we are, by first explaining who we are not:

We are not in business to design monuments to ourselves at the client’s expense. Rather, we provide the best design at the best value to meet their specific needs and budget.

Dana A. Wilke, Managing Partner

We are not the large multi-generalist looking for the next major project….We are the efficient compact design specialist looking for the next long term client.

Steven C. Schultz, Partner

We are not in love with new, shiny buzzwords. We are interested in proven design concepts that improve our client’s organization – from its image to its culture to its operations. Our design is their business, literally.

We are also not a large, multi-layered hierarchy. We are a tightly knit, independent, ground-up, Houston-grown, really-good-at-what-we-do design firm that is able to be nimble, flexible, current and intimately concerned with satisfying our clients challenging and complex design needs – rather than our shareholders or quarterly reports.

Kristin L. Kautz, Partner

We are not what you cannot see. I think our attitudes towards service, practice, design, technology and all the other aspects of our business are laid out plainly for all to see. It’s a waste of time for someone to try and dig under the covers to find something else.  What you see is what you get. When we promise something to a client, consultant, contractor or employee, we only do so knowing we will deliver on that promise, even at our own expense. I’m proud of our integrity and know it is our best asset.

Kevin A. TenBrook, Partner

We are not a firm composed of executives then project managers then worker bees. We provide a tag-team approach of experienced leadership and technical expertise throughout the life of every single project. That is how we have produced a portfolio of distinguished architecture and will continue to get better and better.
